  • Non-Refundable Deposit & Transfer Policy

    • A $50 non-refundable deposit is required for all appointments at the time of booking.

    • The deposit may be transferred to a new appointment date if rescheduling is completed no less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.

  • To avoid charges, we kindly ask clients to cancel or reschedule their appointments at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to accommodate other clients and ensures our therapists' schedules remain full.

    24 hour Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

    • Appointments canceled or rescheduled less than 24 hours before the scheduled time will be charged a 50% service fee. This fee includes the $50 deposit, which will be applied toward the total service fee.

    Same-Day Cancellations, No-Shows, and Reschedules

    Same-day cancellations, no-shows, or reschedules will result in an automatic charge of 100% of the service fee.

    • If you wish to reschedule after a same-day cancellation, a new $50 non-refundable deposit will be required.

  • We ask our clients to fill out health questions sent at booking before coming in, so we can get to know your treatment goals before your appointment.

    Please CHECK your appointment confirmation texts for directions on how to get to our location.

    CHECK-IN PROCESS:

    1.) You will receive a check-in link via text message to the phone number you provided in your reservation 15 minutes before your appointment time.

    2.) Arrive and check in 5 mins before the appointment time in your car. This will notify your therapist of your arrival.

    3.) The therapist will notify you back via text when they are ready to meet you at the office entrance doors to let you in the building *the doors stay locked for privacy purposes*

  • If you are running late or having trouble with directions, please contact the studio as soon as possible. If you are late for your appointment, your service(s) may be shortened to keep on schedule. Every client and their time is important to us, so please try to be on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late without contacting the studio, you will be considered a no-show.

  • Pregnancy

    • Prenatal massage is available for clients in their first, second or third trimester, provided they have no high-risk complications. Please consult with your healthcare provider before scheduling a massage during pregnancy.

    *In the case of pregnancies classified as high-risk, we kindly request a doctor's note. You can send this document to our email address at info@massagestudio.com.

  • At Massage Studio of Kansas City, the health and safety of our clients are our top priority. To ensure a safe and effective massage therapy experience, we kindly ask all clients to review and adhere to the following medical condition policy:

    Disclosure of Medical Conditions

    • Clients must disclose any existing or recent medical conditions, injuries, or illnesses on the health intake form prior to their session. This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Chronic conditions (e.g., arthritis, fibromyalgia)

    • Recent surgeries or injuries

    • Infectious diseases (e.g., colds, flu, COVID-19)

    • Acute Infections

    • Cardiovascular conditions (e.g., hypertension, heart disease)

    • Skin conditions (e.g., rashes, open wounds, bumps, blisters)

    • Blood disorders, blood clots or blood-thinning medications

    • Pregnancy

    • Neurological conditions (e.g., seizures, neuropathy)

    Infectious Diseases and Acute Illness

    • If you are experiencing an acute illness (e.g., fever, infection, or contagious condition), you will not be able to receive a massage until the condition has fully resolved.

    • Clients showing symptoms of illness upon arrival may be asked to reschedule their appointment to protect the health of others.

    Medical Clearance

    • Certain medical conditions may require written approval from a healthcare provider before receiving massage therapy, including:

    • Advanced cardiovascular issues

    • Recent surgeries or injuries still in recovery

    • Neurological conditions (e.g., seizures, neuropathy)

    • Kidney Disease

    Contraindications

    Massage therapy is not recommended in the following situations:

    • When taking blood-thinning medications

    • If you have a blood clot

    • During the presence of acute infections

    • For untreated or undiagnosed medical conditions

    •Uncontrolled high blood pressure

    •Uncontrolled diabetes

    •Varicose Veins

    Client Responsibility

    • It is the client’s responsibility to provide accurate and up-to-date health information. Failure to disclose relevant medical conditions may result in the termination of the session, and applicable fees will apply.

    Cancellation Due to Health Concerns

    • If you need to reschedule due to a medical condition, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid cancellation fees.

    We are committed to providing safe and effective care tailored to each client’s unique needs. If you have any questions about this policy or your eligibility for massage therapy, please contact us directly.

  • All of our massage and bodywork professionals are licensed and insured professionals. We offer therapeutic massage and bodywork to improve self-healing, relaxation, and overall wellness. Disruptive behavior, such as inappropriate gestures, comments, sexual actions or comments, or other disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated and will result in termination of the session, police will be notified and future service will be denied.

  • We strive to provide convenient and secure payment options for our valued customers.

    We accept payment via debit card and credit card only. This includes Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

    We do accept cash payments; however, there are specific guidelines to ensure smooth transactions. Customers paying with cash must provide the exact amount owed for their purchase. We do not keep change on premises to maintain security and efficiency.

  • With the way business works all service sales and deposits are final.

    **We do not give refunds on deposits, prepaid services, same-day cancellations or reschedules, cancellations, reschedules, or gift cards of any sort. Thanks for understanding!**

  • We collect information from you when you contact us over the phone or contact customer service through our toll-free number. This can include your name, contact information, information about your account and any other information you choose to provide.

    The phone numbers we collect and the consent we receive will not be shared with 3rd party providers.

    No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
